The HI 98127 Tester is a waterproof pH and temperature meter, so that thanks to the housing that is totally hermetic, it does not allow moisture to enter. All pH readings are automatically temperature compensated (ATC), and temperature values can be displayed in ° C or ° F units. The meters can be calibrated at one or two points with automatic buffer recognition and five memorized buffer values.Measurements are extremely accurate with a stability indicator on the VCL display. A low battery symbol alerts the user when the batteries need to be replaced.To prolong the life of the pH electrode, it is recommended to clean it monthly by immersing it in HI7061 Cleaning Solution for half an hour. You will then rinse thoroughly with tap water and recalibrate the meter. Plus, because the connector is round stainless steel, which means there are no needles to bend or break, replacement is quick and easy to perform.Stretch cloth junction The pH electrode is equipped with a renewable fiber junction. When the joint becomes dirty due to use, simply pull it out at the end, 2mm, and cut it open to increase response time and stability.Temperature sensor The stainless steel encapsulated temperature sensor enables faster and more accurate temperature measurement and compensation. The temperature sensor guarantees faster measurements. Its proximity to the pH electrode improves the accuracy of automatically compensated measurements.
