OIL Checker oil analyzer for all gases and oils
Application, suitable for identifying various types of refrigeration oils including mineral oil, alkylbenzene and polyol ester in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
How to use
Preparation: Prepare bottle #1 (white cap) by partially filling bottle #1 with an equal amount of test oil (5 cc or approximately 180 drops) to within 1/4 inch below the neck of the bottle .
Shake: Replace the cap and shake the contents for 2-5 seconds.
Check: If the solution is clear, the test oil is Polyol Ester and the test is complete, if the solution is cloudy, continue.
Prepare: If the solution is cloudy in bottle #1, prepare bottle #2 (black cap) by partially filling bottle #2 with an equal amount of test oil (5 cc or approximately 180 drops) until '1/4 inch below the neck of the bottle.
Shake: Replace the cap and shake the contents for 2-5 seconds.
Check: If the solution is clear, the test oil is alkylbenzene, if it is cloudy, it indicates mineral oil.
Bottle n°1 (white cap)
Clear Test = Polyol Ester
Cloudy test = mineral oil or alkylbenzene
Bottle no. 2 (black cap)
Clear test = alkylbenzene
Cloudy test = mineral oil
