The ASUS USB-AC56 is a dual-band USB 3.0 802.11ac adapter that adds wireless connectivity to notebooks and desktop PCs. The USB 3.0 connection allows data to be transmitted to the computer with a speed of 300 Mbit / s in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mbit / s in the 5 GHz band from compatible routers. Since the external antenna and the two internal antennas offer high transmitting power for larger areas. The external antenna can be detached to reduce power consumption when mid-range coverage is sufficient. Or change to a more powerful antenna when necessary. USB 3.0 connectivity allows this wireless adapter to connect to laptops and desktops with a bandwidth ten times higher than the USB 2.0 standard.
